What You Should Know

• A $100 payment is required for custom orders on small gates for pickup
• We cut orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so please have your order in before those days
• Protective film will remain on the material for you to remove after delivery or pickup
• Please allow a 2mm to 5mm tolerance in final size, as all products are hand cut
• Gap sizes quoted as 10mm, 16mm or 40mm refer to the gap between the slats
• The gap from the first and last slat to the frame will be made equal where possible
• We do not rip slats lengthways, so if you want the spacing to divide perfectly, ask us for a width close to your required size that will work evenly
• DIY assembly typically requires a Tek drill, tape measure and square

Important Sizing & Installation Notes

When ordering a gate, please allow a tolerance of approximately -5mm to +5mm from your requested size. You should also allow clearance for your own hinges, locks and latches.

Some hinges allow for gate adjustment, and depending on the height of the gate, you should generally be able to adjust the gate square by around 5mm to 10mm. Some hinge systems require gaps of 10mm to 30mm, while some locks mount on the inside of the frame and use magnetic catches, requiring clearances of around 10mm to 15mm.

Don’t worry — we will provide this information with your quote so you can review it before ordering.

We also sell a hinge that fits inside the 50x50mm channel on the side of the gate.

If we assemble the gate for you, there may be up to 10mm of size or squareness variation, however this can usually be adjusted and squared during installation using our hinge systems.

Any height can be made — all of our slat gates are custom made and available either fully assembled or as a DIY kit.
